Structural Concerns
In the ordinary performance of the cleaning and restoration process, some items and parts of the
structure such as wallpaper, painted surfaces, paneling, appliances, cabinets, sinks, toilets,
bathtubs, wood floors, tile flooring, carpets and other surfaces can be damaged and Encore will
not be responsible for the damage. However, we will inform you and your insurance company of
the approximate cost for rebuild or replacement so these are included in your repair estimate and
provided to your insurance carrier or general contractor.
Valuable Property
Prior to beginning any work on your property, valuables and items that have
special value may require special handling and must be listed as Secured Valuable
Contents on the inventory by you, the insured. This will associate a value to your
contents, for your records, while in our possession at the Encore facility.
Refrigerators & Freezers Encore requires that all refrigerators and
freezers be cleared of all perishable food prior to beginning any restoration process.
The normal course of restoration as well as the transport and storage of such items
can affect conditions, temperatures, and operations of these items.
Particleboard & Wood Furniture
Particleboard furniture, after any loss, may not be restored, and is subject to damage if moved.
Therefore, we recommend that particleboard furniture be left for cleaning on-site to minimize
further damage.
